Original Design

Edith Flack Ackley was a dollmaker and author of several dollmaking books; her ragdoll patterns are still popular today.

This doll was created using a pattern in her book "Dolls to Make for Fun & Profit" copyright 1938. Made from muslin, her facial features are hand-embroidered. She is wearing a two-tone pink striped dress with black polka dots; an attached slip and separate pantaloons with ecru and pink lace trim. Her socks have hand-crocheted pink trim; her hat is hand-crocheted and her shoes are made of pink wool felt. She is also wearing a faux pearl necklace.

All of her clothes are removable.
